Through the years I've had numerous mentoring requests from people wanting to create products with their own writings or images, and it's been a lot of fun to help people of all ages give talents and dreams some roots and wings! So maybe you're a photographer, an artist, a poet, prose or humor writer -- and you'd like to create and sell your work as a product of some kind through an online shop like Etsy.com, your own website, or a "brick-and-mortar" (real life:-) store!
First you've got to create a tangible product -- and then create or find resources for packaging and labeling, get a sense of your ideal customer and how they would use your product, and so on. And somewhere in there you'll have to set pricing that's in the ball-park of what customers will pay (whether wholesale or retail), while at the same time making sure it's enough to cover your costs, labor and profit!
