Home | Biography TERAH COX is a writer-of-many-trades, as well as a workshop leader, keynote speaker and personal mentor. While working on a Masters in Poetics at New York University, she was catapulted into what would become a 20-year career as a lyric writer (as Terry Cox). Signed to Columbia Pictures Music, Warner-Chappell, BMG and other major music publishers throughout the world, she co-wrote over 150 songs recorded for CDs, film, television and advertising. Collaborating on some unique musical projects and amassing Top Ten hits in pop, rock, gospel and dance with U.S and international recording artists, she ultimately wrote a book on everything she knew about songwriting and the music business -- YOU CAN WRITE SONG LYRICS -- and then took on some new horizons. A lover of words as "gates" to meaning, Terah has had a lifelong interest in the interplay between creativity and the dreams and longings of the human spirit. Called a "story-whisperer" by one of her clients, she works with the power of extraordinary listening to siphon the mysteries of life and the truth of a thing, a story, a character, or a person. This is the foundation for her mentoring and workshop programs, as well as her subsequent books, BIRTH ANGELS, THE STORY OF LOVE & TRUTH, and her upcoming WRITING WITHOUT WORDS ~ Way of the Writer-Seeker. In addition, her delight in inspirational "shorts" led to the development of a unique e-mailable greeting cards collection, Milestones Connect E-Cards, as well as poetry and word-art creations for Heaven & Earth Works. The passionate thread that runs through all Terah's work is a love of Truth and the infinite ways it is expressed through each of us and our unique gifts. Terah says, “I believe that the possibility of ‘truing up’ who we are with what we do and how we live is a lifeline that dangles in every obstacle and opportunity, every circumstance and conversation, every dream and hope we have of being more than we often seem to be.
