THEO OF GOLDEN, by Allen Levi
A megadose of heartful intelligence, kindness, compassion and sheer goodness, paced in a way that cultivates presence in the reader. You won't want to go the rest of your life without reading this poignant and uplifting story about a mysterious benevolent stranger who comes to a small town and impacts everyone he encounters with his grace and unexpected gifts. We LOVE this book!!
Update: There's a movie in the works! And the rumor is that Tom Hanks is involved, with the author Allen Levi as Executive Producer.
Also, there is a sequel to THEO, which likely won't be released till sometime next year. THEO is Mr. Levi's first novel, but he wrote his first book, a memoir entitled THE LAST MILE about 10 years ago.. We carried signed copies of that (along with THEO) for awhile at Words Matter, but the author is currently updating it, so when it's ready, it will be here and at Words Matter as well.
